DECREE OF “GLORIFICATION”
of
Marie Rose Ferron

In the Name of the +Father, and of the +Son, and of the Holy + Ghost. Amen.

To all the Faithful In Christ, Peace and Apostolic Benediction.

Through the investigation of Marie Rose Ferron, that has been tried and true according to the mercies of Almighty God, Who is wondrous in His saints, having become sufficiently apparent to ourselves as Metropolitan and in complete unity of purpose with the many faithful who are devotees, who have long recognized and honored her heroic and spiritual example during her earthly life and continued intervention after her departure from this realm, have brought us this day, to her Glorification.

Through her intervention, countless miracles of varied degree have come forth giving further attestation to her Spiritual Role in the Kingdom of Almighty God and His Saints. These many documents of miraculous events and testimonies have been viewed by us and found worthy. We have granted the desire of the people of God who have long bore witness to these gifts of God through the intercession of Little Rose Ferron. In as much as Marie Rose Ferron did not limit herself to a specific group of people, but did love all people and continues that love of miraculous favors to all. On earth she was our sister in Christ. In heaven she is our sister in Christ and intercessor before the throne of God.

Though the physical healings attributed to Little Rose are numerous, so are the spiritual healings and conversions. These are perhaps the most qualified among the many miracles. It is the miracle of renewed or found faith that often becomes a prerequisite to a physical healing. Often the miracle of finding a renewed or lost faith resolves the need for a physical healing. Once we truly realize that with Jesus Christ we have already won the battle, no battle is left to be waged.

The memory of Marie Rose Ferron ... has been honored with reverence among the Christian people of East and West, who have streamed to this Shrine of Little Rose in Taylor, Michigan and her grave at Precious Blood Cemetery at Woonsocket, Rhode Island, from all over the world in very large numbers, praying for the repose of the soul of this virgin and hoping for her prayerful intercession before God. Memory of the lofty Christian virtues with which she shone throughout her earthly life, and the miraculous healings of divers ailments performed at her grave and here at the Shrine, have drawn many believers to the veneration of this Holy Virgin. On all of this a pious hope was founded that this Virgin who has been glorified by God be numbered among the choir of the saints. Even before the end of her life such a hope was expressed.

Within our Office of Metropolitan-Archbishop and Defender of this Holy Shrine, we perform this act of Glorification together with the multitude of people here present and all those who have raised their voice in this cause over the many years.

Let it be known that we do not act with any higher authority from within the Holy Church then what has been given and testified throughout history. It is hoped and prayed for that within time, those outside our own jurisdiction and within Synodol process will come to learn through their own investigation and discernment the sanctity of this Servant of God. For we can not claim her Glorification for the Universal Church but only from within our own jurisdiction.

With our Hierarchal Blessing we do cause the Glorification or Canonization of Marie Rose Ferron whose annual ecclesiastical celebration for this Holy Virgin has been fixed on the date of her repose in the Lord — May 11.

Let the example of her life and her continued intercession before the throne of Almighty God, for all who beseech her aid and voice, be proclaimed as a candle, not hidden under a bushel basket, but on a candlestick, set high above, that all may be illumined.

From henceforth, let her name be written among the Saints in Heaven and on Earth. Let us proclaim the veneration and honor due her. AMEN.

This done in accordance with the precepts as set down through history of the Holy Orthodox Church and in the name of the Undivided Holy Trinity.

In testimony whereof, We affix our hand and seal of the American Eastern Orthodox Catholic Church, Archdiocese of North America. From the Monastery of Our Lady of The Most Blessed Sacrament and Chancery at Coleman, Michigan, in the United States of America.

Given this _17th day of July, Year of Our Lord 2004.
