SHRINE of LITTLE ROSE FERRON, Taylor MI

Guestbook

My dear friends of Little Rose Ferron,

As many of you have noticed there has been a lot of spam and utter filth that crept into our guest book. We have removed it and I'm sorry to say, some of the signings of our friends were deleted by mistake. I'm so sorry for that. We will not let the evil one win nor will we shut the guest book down because of some very sick people. Keep posting and we will keep watching closer. God Bless you all.

Dear brothers and sisters.
We, catholic priests and parishioners of the Holy Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary from the Place of Apparition of Mother of God in city Ternopil, Ukraine, appeal to you with request about help. Please help us, as much as who can, in building of Catholic Temple and monasteries: for monks Jesuits and Carmelite nuns. As much as who can, be merciful, respond. Or please, help us to find donators.
Our Ukraine didn’t accept Catholic Faith and didn’t build Holy-Catholic Temples. On 13th of June, 2003 Mother of God appeared in our city and reported through Her Servant that here on the Place of Apparition Catholic Temple 25m x 40 m and two monasteries: one for Jesuit fathers and the second for Carmelite sisters must be built for Glorification of God and for our salvation. And also She reported that Ternopil is the great pilgrim city, similar to Lourdes and Fatima, about which the whole world will know in the near future.
Though our hearts have been filled with great faith in Word of Mother of God and we firmly believe to God’s Help in case of building of Temples of God, but our faithful remnant is not big. Because only eastern church is around us and we don’t have anybody to ask for help.
We mercifully implore you to gather by drop together in order here in Ukraine be true temples and monasteries for Glorification of God and Mother of God.
Let we help our Heavenly Mother in taking care about us, all children of the earth, and help by your part as much as who can in order to renew Holy Catholic Church built on Stone Peter and in order our Ukraine accept at last true-Catholic Faith and convert to God by heart.
We believe, that these God’s Temples decide not only the fate of inhabitants of Ternopil and Ukraine, but the fate of all people of the whole world.
We are sincerely grateful to you.

The deceiver comes in a form as an angel of light/
Hoping that all will follow him ?
As he longs to pride himself with his deadly bite !
The world today doesn't care if you live or die !
Should this come as a big surprise/
Just look at the way that they struck the saviour in the eyes !
In giving into the eternal fight and quitting !
Yet most will resign to the prince of the power of the air/
Having long viscious hanging fangs for teeth !
This is not a good time for a friendly meet and greet !
We must as a believer in Christ to bombard the heavenlies with many prayers in repentance/
The family structure today is very deceptive and evil !
With both qualities of deception and dysfunction !
Yet we all smile to call it a good day !
Paying no humble mind to take heed in prayer !

Dear Friends of Little Rose:
It has been many years since we have had thoughts of Little Rose. Many years ago, my Mom and Dad ran pilgrimages to Woonsocket to Little Rose's house and grave. I remember hearing about a specific miracle that occurred to my cousin's son. As a baby he was diagnosed with cancer, and given no hope. Through the intercession of Little Rose, and the many prayers of Fr. Boyer (a friend of our family), Joseph Palumbo was cured. When he went for his next treatment, the doctors could not find any evidence of the cancer. I also remember that in the later 1960's or early 1970's we were asked to 'stop' spreading the news of Little Rose because there were many people trying to discredit her. My dad passed away in 1972 and we never discussed Little Rose again until today. I have many fond memories of Little Rose and her sister, and the chaple in her home in Rhode Island. Now that I have found this web site I will be checking on it for the latest news. My prayers will be for all who work for her Sainthood.

I again visit this site with more questions. I will tell you I am not a believer in Little Rose but I do come here with great sincerity and valid questions that many must ask. I feel through my priestly uncles, my family was quite close to Little Rose. it was said that they possessed the rosary she held in her hands upon her death. This may be completely false. My agnostic, Italian grandfather who died in our home was given these beads upon his deathbed. He claims a beautiful girl with brown eyes appeared at the foot of his bed. The room - to all who were there - was filled with the scent of roses. He asked to see the priest and received the last rites. These, while touching, are all homespun tales - and, in my family apparitions and signs from beyond the grave were quite common.
Today, if someone is bleeding profusely through the eyes and not eating for months, this would be either a medical phenomenon with much documentation or a possible situation of abuse. If all that occurred were actually true, surely, there must be some objective, medical records of this girl's situation - some professional attempt to account for such extraordinary events. To think of this girl bleeding quietly in her bedroom, surrounded only by believers, is quite preposterous.

As a devout Christian and former Carmelite nun, I take exception to the constant use of the word "victim". if we treated others as many here claim God as treated Little Rose, giving our prizes and favors based on suffering, we would be jailed and considered criminally insane. God does not victimize anyone nor should we. Perhaps this type of believe is passing and we are becoming more enlightened.
Whatever Rose's issues were, she had a difficult life and I certainly hope she is now in a better place.

I read this site with great interest. Why is Little Rose not glorified in the Roman Catholic Church and through her own diocese of Providence? My uncle, Pere Athanase LeDoux, O.F.M. once met her. In cleaning out my recently deceased mother's home, I came across the book, She Wears A Crown of Thornes and looked up this website. Russian Orthodox?

Added to this question, I cannot understand that if what is written in the book is true, why Bishop McVinney stated there is nothing extraordinary about her life. Something doesn't make sense to me here.

I am so glad that your rite has recognized that the Little Rose should be raised to sainthood. I have known of her my entire life and have always had a devotion to her. I was named after her though my name was "changed" after the Bishop of Providence put forth a decree that she was not found to be "special" and that devotions to her should cease. So many miracles have been attributed to her I don't know how the Providence diocese can turn such a blind eye. Thank you for what you have done to get her cause promoted.

The reason, I truly opened my heart and eyes to him.

I hope that the Chapel continues to stay open. For I wish to someday take my children there and show them what showed me the mericals of God.

Beloved in Christ,

Greetings to you in the mighty name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My name is Jachin Charley, I am 33 years old. I am serving the Lord as an Evangelist and helping the poor. Beloved, in my Rustumbada village, so many poor people are staying in small huts. They don’t have proper food, clothes. Due to poverty they are not having education. They are living in so much agony and pain. They don’t have proper Medical facilities. We are giving them food, clothes and medicines. We are spending our own money to help them with God's Love. I have started Jesus Gospel Ministry in the year 2006 on September 28. We are giving them Good News of Jesus. They are accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Please pray for these people. Please forward this message to many Christians to support our Indian ministry. For your reference we are sending some ministry photos. The realization has hit me how Mary Rose Ferron has entwined her life into mine. It is a time of great sorrow that we are losing. The main emphasis. Over which Little Rose lived her wonderful life,
Was in selfless service to her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The was no compromise in the way she led others to her saviour.
Though she is not with us and sorely missed.
In each of our heart she leaves a real sense of purpose.
Amidst this evil generation we are all called to shine our lights.
Live each day as it were your very last.
Show the kind of love that Rose has shown to a lost and dying world.
As Father Corpapi agrees,
with the terrible onslaught of the unborn.
It gives us solace to breathe in the fresh air.
To also remember the perfect example she had set for us all.

I was the youngest child on the street, six years old during the Blizzard of 78. I remember neighbors, which were close friends…Mrs. D, and DJ. I remember Rose’s son coming by…Can’t remember his name, however, I think he had a son, “Dennis.” Rose would tell me about ‘Little Rose.” as she made rosary beads. Sadly, my family moved and my visit stopped. Rose touched my life, and I’m missing a part of my heart when I lost touch. I think of her daily. I was wondering if anyone knows… Is Rose was still living, and how I could get in touch with her? I would love to see her again. I miss her dearly! I remember, Rose had lots of unfinished typed papers dedicated to little Rose, in hope to make a book about her. Does anyone know if Rose ever published a book? Almost 14 years ago we prayed to St.Rose of Ferron for our daughter, who at the time was pregnant. She was told she would never have children. The doctors told her because of her medical problems she would have baby with deformities, but our prayers were answered and she gave birth to beautiful baby girl prematurely and we were all thankful to St.Rose of Ferron becuse if it had not been for her this probably not have happened. The doctor told us, that she truly was a miracle baby, they thougt she would not have delivered her or she would have been born with many problems.

I am sure if you knew what my daughter went through you would agree.

God did this wonderful miracle through the petitions St.Rose took to Him for us.

We are very grateful for what she has done for us and will always continue to pray to God through her.

Thank you for having this web sight so we could let you know.

Though we traveled 3.5 hours to Woonsocket, R.I. in the rain (at times heavy rains) I was very excited. I prayed for a special intention and I promise to offer a mass in her honor and the honor of her family. Little Rose is a loving soul and her dedication to Jesus should be recognize. We must all work together and have this outstanding woman canonized the Saint that she truly is. (Personally, her mother and father are saints in their own rights). If my special intention is granted I promise to make it know and add it to the many miracles obtain through her prayers. God bless you all and PRAY FOR HER BEATIFICATION-SAINTHOOD. I will pray for all those who come to this web site to pay homage to Little Rose and for all who ask for her blessed intercession.

I wanted to share with you some information I sent along here.

I've been studying Little Rose for about three weeks now. During my research, I had something happen that I cannot explain. Here is the email I sent:

Greetings,

I want to first introduce myself. I am James S. Williams of Woonsocket, RI.

I came to know Little Rose through research. I am a researcher and member of the website findagrave.com, which is the largest online record of graves and deceased persons on the Internet today.

I was doing some research on individuals buried in the Precious Blood cemetery in Woonsocket, RI when I found the entry for Little Rose.

For some reason, I felt compelled to do more research on her story. I became very fascinated with Little Rose and her story. As I read more about her "bearing the wounds of Chirst", I was both fascinated, and somewhat skeptical.

But not after what happened today.

Now, I am a scientific type of person, looking for some logic in the universe. But what happened today has no logic. At least..... no Earthly logic.

Precious Blood Cemetery is 5 blocks away from where I live. I have never had any reason to visit there. Today, I ran some errands and was driving home, when I had this sudden urge to see her grave.

Not that I have this sudden urge every day to look at peoples graves, but something in me today told me to take a swing by. For some reason, I felt compelled.

So, I entered the gates of the cemetery.

Now, Precious Blood cemetery is HUGE! The largest historical cemetery in Northern RI. Many historical graves and mausoleums abound. Literally TENS of THOUSANDS of graves. Finding a stone there is like finding the proverbial needle in a haystack.

As I was making my way down the access road, I saw a woman and her child walking in the cemetery. They were going to cross the road in front of me, so I slowed my car down to let them by. After they crossed, I started back on my way, but quickly felt discouraged as it could take hours to find Little Rose's grave. So I stopped my car and put it in reverse so I could leave the cemetery at the opened exit gate on the Rathburn Street side..

Just as I did, I looked over to my left. I saw this stone flat on the ground. I could not read it from my vantage point in the car. For some strange reason, I threw the car in park, shut off the engine, got out of the car, and walked over to the stone.

As I walked over, the realization started to hit me. My legs started shaking. I knew I was at the spot.

The stone was that of LITTLE ROSE!

I quickly looked over to see if I could see the woman and child who caused me to slow my car down, but they were nowhere to be seen. They must have left the cemetery, I reasoned.

Now, again my mind is somewhat scientifically oriented looking for logic, but there IS no Earthly logic that could just "explain away" what happened to me today. A person who never visits cemeteries goes to one on a whim looking for a particular stone in a cemetery that is huge and not familiar with, to find it within minutes by way of having to stop my car to let a stranger pass, who vanishes as quickly as they came?

No, there IS no Earthly logic to it. In the final analysis of it all, if I were to write a scientific paper on it, in all probability, I must conclude that "Little Rose" wanted me to visit today.

I will be having a bit of trouble sleeping tonight. But not in a way that is bad. My thoughts will be of "Little Rose" Ferron. She obviously still has it to this day.

I was in the US Air Force and worked on the Space Shuttle fleet. Nothing I have ever encountered in my days can compare to what happened this day.

- James Williams
Woonsocket, RI
webmaster@moonport.org

end of email..........

I believe that God uses people for His plan. I do not believe that the woman and child I encountered were "ghosts" or anything like that, but were real. God put them there for a reason.

I received your information today and will continue my research. I did manage to see a clearer picture today of "Little Rose" shortly after she passed away and it distinctly shows the pattern of SOMETHING that was placed on her head.

I am going to make a print and show it to doctors who can explain any diseases that MAY cause the "crown of thorns" type of configuration that shows in the photograph. But honestly, I don't think that they will simply "explain away" the type of pattern of wound that was on Marie Ferrons head at the time of her death.

I have heard stories about Little Rose and her stigmata for over 10 years. It was not until last year when my friend Kevin and I were driving by Precious Blood Cemetary that he pulled in and told me that he was a relative of Little Rose. Kevin had a kidney transplant 7 years ago and still carries around a medallion in his wallet that someone had given him years ago that contains a picture of Little Rose, as well as a small amount of dirt from her grave.

Kevin's Grandmother was blessed with one of Rose's miracles when she was healed of a brain tumor as a young adult, after visiting her cousin, Little Rose.

For anyone that is interested there was also an article about Little Rose in the December 2005 issue of Rhode Island Monthly magazine (the article is on page 52), and is titled 'A Saint Among Us?' Kevin stumbled upon the article quite accidentally while flipping through the magazine.

Please pray for Little Rose, the miracles that she has blessed others with and the many more that I'm sure are to come!

Hello, before Dec. 11, 2001 I kept hearing a womans voice say "Marie Rose Ferron". I thought I was hearing things, so I ignored it but it persisted and she made her presence known to me Dec 11, 2001. When she said her name over & over again. It got so strong, I finally stopped what I was doing & outloud said "Who the heck is Marie Rose Ferron?" My son, startled by this asked me what was goin on so I told him & he told me to look it up on the net. We came to 1 site, dont appear existant now that had very little on her except she was in Woonsocket & religious. I had to go is all I knew, so sick as I was we left to find her. Needless to say it became dark & we were just about to give up when we found the cemetary, but were overwhelmed to see so many graves. My husband pulled right up to her without even knowing it & when I found out & got out I nearly keeled over when I saw on her grave Dec 11.. I know that is french now, but at time I didnt & thought it her death & that day was DEC 11 when I went.. Long story short I have bonded with her since, & last year I couldnt go to my Audrey Marie Santo ann. mass cause I was so sick, so I went on comp & did some geneology. Somehow I ended up coming back to her as my cousin when I wasnt even looking!! I also traced my gen. to cousin blessed brother andre Bessette, St. Kateri, St. Dina Belanger, & St. Margaret D'Youville & St. M. Durocher that day.. My husband & son came home from a flea market not knowing what I had been doing & gave me a gift. It was a relic in a pouch. The pouch said "st. Cecile (dina) Belanger.. but inside was Marie Rose Ferron relic medal!!!! I know they brought that to me!! They were with me when I was crying! The blesseds & saints & Audrey Marie Santo are all connected in more ways than I can explain here but I love them dearly & I know they guide me & are with me.. Anyone who has pictures, medals, anything of theirs whom wishes to donate to me or sell, I would be grateful as I hold them dear to my heart. The miracles I have received I am forever grateful for! Thank You my beloved cousins! I am here for you as u are 4 me! xoxoxo Oh & Cuz, Please pray 4 Audrey Marie Santo, Mystic Victim & Soul & her mom Linda as they are not doing too good. Audrey is in severe medical crisis from what I hear.. With love always, Laurie

I came to this website because my great-grandmother's family married into the Ferron family. Their surname was Joyal and my grandmother Arsina (Anna),her daughter, married Albert Chassey. My mother was Rose Marie Chassey until she became McCarthy. I haven't asked her yet if she was named for Marie Rose Ferron, but it is possible because her mother and aunts met Little Rose and I can remember being told to pray to her as a child. I am also happy to say that I named my daughter Cara Rose after my mother. It is very inspirational to see that her suffering still touches people over 70 years after her death. I know that my family has a book about The Little Rose but it is written in french. Is it possible to find a copy of "She Wears A Crown of Thorns?" Thank you for a lovely site.

My Aunt, Gloria (DePontbriand)Correia, was taken to see Little Rose when she was a child of six. My mother, Yvette, could not go because she was sick and family wanted to protect Mary-Rose's health. My cousin Mark Correia, Aunt Gloria's son, has said that his mother always remembered that day. This was in 1932. Mary-Rose whispered to her mother sounding very weak and motioned for her to giver her her medals, and then she proceeded to place a medal made in bracelet form on my aunt's wrist with great difficulty.
My aunt was told that "Little Rose" was a distant cousin of my great Grandmother, Rosanna (Milotte) DePontbriand.
My mother, Gloria's sister, Yvette DePontbriand (85), will be coming to live with our family soon and I am looking forward to sharing your site with her.
Thank you for your good works. God Bless You All.

She is buried just over the line in Blackstone,Ma--in the Precious Blood cemetary.

I always remember Mary Rose each time I visit the Blessed Sacrament for I am always reminded of Christ’s suffering in the Cross and of the gift of Stigmata which Mary Rose and Padre Pio received from Jesus. I want top help propagate her devotion here in the Philippines, after I was spared from death due to my heart attack last January 9. I would like to ask for information about her life, if there are some books available about her. I would like also to inquire if I can obtain some 1st class or 2nd class relics of her, so that I can give out some of her relics to my pious and religious friends, and as well for my apostolate in visiting the sick people in the hospital and house to house rosary devotion in poor communities.I shall pray for your ministry. I have been praying for 4 years for healing and for 2 years to become preganant. Its a very long story but in short after giving birth to my first born son I had a lot of health problems, vulvodynia caused by nerve damage from delivering my son, interstitial cystitis which praise God only lasted a year, and colitis which is currently under control. I still suffer from vulvodynia and have been trying to get off my meds which are dangerous to a baby in the womb so I can get pregnant, well after visiting May Rose Ferron's grave and recitng her novena and lighting candles in her name and the name of my petition I got pregnant the first cycle after visiting Little Rose's grave. I also belive this pregnancy will be an avenue for healing of my vulvodynia, I continue to pray to Mary Rose for her intercession of this matter. I will visit again with an update on my condition. In the mean time I would like to give testimony to Little Rose and Jesus for helping me to get pregnant and helping my other conditions to stay under control!

It is just now I'm finding out about "The Little Rose." She is buried in The Precious Blood Cememtery in Woonsocket, R.I. where my father-in-law is buried just a few plots up and about 2 minutes from my house. I would like to know more about her life, works, and anything about her. My mother-in-law who just turned 89 this month was on her death bed last year and had everything go wrong with her and shouldn't have lived. She made it and is doing fine and she told me the story of " The Little Rose" and how many years ago she went to the cemetery and put some of the soil around her grave in a little bag and has had it with her all these years. My mother-in-law is very religious and I believe through the intercession of "The Little Rose" she was spared and The Lord let her stay for awhile longer. Any websites ,books, information on her would be gratefully appreciated. Thank You & God Bless!

I also prayed on the rosary she held which had the blood of the stigmata on it and was blessed with oil from the 1930's which little Rose said was blessed by Jesus himself while she was ecstatic. Also, given many relics. It was something I won't soon forget.
